Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus)

description of the animal

Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus)

Information:

The Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) has a grey coloured fur; its structure is exceedingly special. It is very thick but also adjusting to the temperature of the environment the Koala is living in. The Koala has very big claws which help him to climb large trees and balancing even without a tail.

The Koala can be found in the wild only in Australia. Especially in wide range woodland areas. It is accustomed to living in trees.

Their almost only nourishment is fresh eucalypt leaves. But because they are very hard to please, they will search for the perfect branch to eat from. Most of their active time they spend eating. They are also very slow and are often seen completely motionless.
