Leopard (Panthera pardus)

description of the animal

Leopard (Panthera pardus)

Information:

The Leopard (Panthera pardus) is part of the cat family and looks very similar to the jaguar, still the yellow colour with the typically black spots is the commonly known characteristic of their look. Black panthers are a colour variation form of the leopard.

They live in wide areas of Asia and Africa. They tend to live in forests and grasslands for the most part. Even though Leopards are more affiliated with warm temperature, they acclimate very well to the cold. They are often found in Russia where they are exposed to very low degrees.

They feed solely on meat. Although they have a pretty wide range of things they eat, might it be antelopes, monkeys, birds or insects of all kinds.
